Genealogy Grant Awarded for Cemetery Recovery Project

Kelley Logan is a folklorist with Southwestern Oklahoma State University, and is currently researching the Tuberculosis Sanitarium Cemetery in Clinton, OK. The cemetery is in bad repair and a full list of those buried there does not exist. The grant award will be used to recover the gravestones now subsided a few inches under windblown soil and make a full record of the buried and map the cemetery.

Genealogy Grant Awarded to Archives Committee, Houston County, TN

A new Archives Committee in Houston County, TN is starting the process of establishing a much-needed local archives. Members of the historical society have started to clean out and organize the records vault in the basement of the local courthouse. The grant award will go toward the purchase of archival boxes and supplies to store record books and loose records.
